When starting Big Knife Resources, lightning struck the mountain above my childhood home. For weeks, Tribal and Forest Service fire fighters fought the fire above the house and prevented the fire from burning down our home. Shortly after the fire, Big Knife Resources began. I am proud to offer a variety of high quality services and products as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Disadvantaged Business Entity (DBE), with client experience and satisfaction being my top priority.
Big Knife is where my family used to cut wood, raise cows, hunt game, and pick huckleberries. Up Big Knife, we used to build forts, race horses, and catch brook trout. Big Knife drainage is full of beaver dams, bear, wolves and elk. My family has lived at the base of the mountain for over a century and my great grandmother's log cabin is still standing. On a bridge over Big Knife Creek, I asked my wife to marry me. Big Knife represents home and family.
Big Knife is named after a mountain that my family has lived for over a century on the Flathead Indian Reservation. The Big Knife areas were named after a Kootenai Chief Koostatah Big Knife.
